Aloha Hawaii
Experience - Installation - Project Mgmt
Aloha Hawaii was an installation at a New Year’s Eve party in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The event's theme was based on the glamor, excitement and joy of air travel during the 1960’s. My partner and I responded to call for art proposing a “destination installation”; one that lets visitors enjoy the fruits of a foreign locale. Aloha Hawaii was our interpretation of a relaxing, tropical paradise with Pop and Sixties design inspirations. Our 20’x20’ space consisted of themed seating, glowing décor, and a portrait photography booth for guests to enjoy.

FreaKKshow Fundraiser
Event Production - Installation - Project Mgmt
I produced this fundraising event for Kostume Kult, a community arts program that promotes the costuming arts, experimental fashion and participatory theater. In addition to art direction for décor, I managed volunteers, organized resources and negotiated with vendors. The weekend of the event was the hottest of the summer, but we had the help of 30 volunteers to help transform the space into a wild circus party and performance for 600 guests.

_Photo-eroto
Experience - Set Design - Art Direction
Photo-eroto was an installation at a 2010 Valentine’s Day party and the first of many interactive photo booths. An elaborate set, with a real photographer using professional equipment elevated the standard, automatic photo booth experience. This project was inspired by Aloha Hawaii’s photo booth, but aimed to make the experience more interactive, fun, and theme-based by incorporating props. The booth was not only a fun attraction at the party, but a way for guests to walk away with fantastic photos to remember the occassion.

_Toad
Graphic Design - Art Direction - Project Mgmt
Toad is a mobile sound system that projects lights and fog to create a mobile dance party wherever it is. The project was designed by DJs Boris Connell and David Katz. I created a brand image for the project by designing a logo, which was incorporated into acrylic laser cut jewelry, logos, and accessories for Toad.

Photo Experience
Senior Thesis
Interaction - Experience - Set
For my Senior Capstone project, I wanted to create an experience that was interactive, incorporating both the physical and digital realms. I eventually drew inspiration from the photo booths I had previously done, which were not only a unique experience but also established that people would re-post their favorite photos over and over again. After compiling research about experiential exhibit design, relationship marketing, and user generated content, I realized that companies could use public photo shoots to stir interest in a cause or brand. _Machinal
Set Design - Graphics - Project Mgmt
Machinal was performed by Zephyr Rep Theater on Christopher St, NYC in Aug/Sept 2009. I collaborated with the director to plan a set that was austere, minimal, and expressionist, like the play’s script itself. Design responsibilities included sourcing furniture, cataloging materials and props and executing the design tasks with a group of volunteers.

_iMe Ipod Speakers
Industrial Design - Interaction - Animation
The iMe was a student group project at Philadelphia University. The brief was to create iPod speakers that incorporated apps, which were recently becoming popular. My role in the project was to design a system to customize the speakers in tandem with a social rewards website. The final project was designed for the youth-market, which places a high value on personalization. By participating in contests and surveys on the corresponding website, teens could customize their a speaker's themes on a simple LCD screen and LEDs. Related Video
